How to iron on patches step by step guide

Instructions

1) Heat up your iron (without steam). You want your iron to be on its highest heat setting so that the patch will properly adhere.

2) Decide where you want the patch to be applied.

3) Spray some water on the back of the patch (the glue side).

4) Place a thin damp cloth over the front of the patch.

5) Iron over patch while pressing down firmly for 10-20 seconds.

5) Turn the material so that you can iron from behind the patch, you may need to turn clothing inside out, then iron again over the patch while pressing firmly for 10-20 seconds.

Please note:

  • Some materials such as nylon, rayon, leather or fake leather, or waterproof materials are not always suitable for iron-on-patches, in this case you can sew the patches on instead.
  • In the event that the patch lifts up after repeated laundry cycles, these instructions can be repeated to re-attach
